To deactivate your activation key, uninstall Sapphire from your machine and select the option to “deactivate your license now” (if you have Internet connection) or “deactivate your license manually using another computer’s web browser” (if you do not have Internet connection). How do I install my activation key license?
If you have already installed Boris Continuum, to license it:
On either Mac or Windows, you can access licensing information from within the Boris Continuum filters by clicking on the “License” button which is found at the top of every BCC filter.
Simply apply any Boris Continuum filter to a source clip in the host timeline, then go to the effects control panel, and follow these steps:
If you are licensing the product from within Adobe After Effects or Adobe Premiere Pro:
If you are licensing the product from within Avid Media Composer:
If you are licensing the product from within supported OFX hosts such as Resolve, Nuke, Vegas etc.:
If you are licensing the product from within Apple FCP-X or Apple Motion:
The action of clicking the “License” button will launch the Boris FX License Tool. This mini-app will present you with a series of click-and-continue windows to guide you through the process of licensing the product. The rst window that appears will prompt you to select the activation method.
If you already have your purchased license code and your system has an active / on-line connection to the internet, then select the rst option as per the image below, then click the Continue button to proceed to the next window:
The next window which appears provides you with a window into which you can paste the license code that was sent to you when you purchased the product. To avoid the potential for any error when entering the license code, we suggest that you simply copy and paste using the standard system shortcuts (control / command + C and P), then click the Continue button to proceed to the final step:
The next window that you see is a con rmation that the license has been added, accepted and activated. Click the Done button to complete the license activation process.

Adobe
On Windows, go to the Start Menu and scroll to Boris FX Continuum AE. Twirl open the group and click on Activate Continuum AE License.
On Mac, go to: /Macintosh HD/Applications/Boris Continuum Complete 11/ and double click on “Activate Continuum License”.
Avid
On Windows, go to the Start Menu and scroll to Boris FX Continuum AVX. Twirl open the group and click on “Activate Continuum AVX License”.
On Mac, go to: /Macintosh HD/Applications/Boris Continuum Complete AVX 11/ and double click on “Activate Continuum License”.
OFX (Resolve, Vegas Pro, Nuke etc)
On Windows, go to the Start Menu and scroll to Boris FX Continuum OFX. Twirl open the group and click on Activate Continuum AE License.
On Mac, go to: /Macintosh HD/Applications/Boris Continuum Complete 11 OFX/ and double click on “Activate Continuum License”.
FxPlug (FCP-X and Motion)
On Mac, go to: /Macintosh HD/Applications/Boris Continuum Complete 11 FxPlug/ and double click on “Activate Continuum License”.
For Online Systems
If your machine is connected to the Internet, choose to “Activate your license now. (Requires Internet connection.)”
For Offline Systems
If your machine cannot connect to the Internet, you can activate using another computer’s Web browser.
Choose to “Activate your license manually using another computer’s Web browser”:
- You will need to download and save the Continuum123456.key file that you received from your license email from a computer that has Internet connection.
- Transfer that Continuum123456.key file to your offline machine via a flash/thumb drive or a shared network.
- Follow the prompts to select the location of the key file.
- Pick a location for the request file (which will be created).
- Copy the request file (continuum.req) to a machine with Internet.
- Upload it to http://activation.borisfx.com/offline-activation.php.
- Save the activation file it returns (via download or email), and copy that back to the offline machine.
- Enter its location into to the license tool.
Only choose “Complete offline activation using an activation file you received.” if you have the Continuum.act file to upload, (this file is different than the Continuum123456.key file).
The next time you start up the host application (Adobe, Avid etc), the license should take effect.
*Note: If you want to transfer your activation key to a new machine or are rebuilding your machine, you need to first Deactivate Continuum from your old machine to release the activation key.
Q. I purchased VEGAS Pro 18 Suite and I saw I got free Boris plugins. Is this true?
Yes! With every purchase of VEGAS Pro 18 Suite, you are entitled to receive a license for the Particles Unit, Image Restoration Unit, and Film Style unit. These 3 effect units are part of the Continuum Suite, a collection of over 250 plug-ins.

Q. How do I get my free Boris plugins?
When you purchased VEGAS Pro 18 Suite, you received an email from MAGIX which contained a Boris Continuum activation key. Click here to activate your plugins.
Q. Ok, I entered my Continuum activation key, now what?
After entering your key, you will receive an email with installation instructions and a link for the correct Continuum installer.
Q. Wait a second, there are three units and three activation keys. Do I have to run the installer three times?
Yes, you will need to run the installer three times and enter each key separately. This will license all three Continuum units for VEGAS Pro 18 Suite.
Q. All my plugins have a watermark on them. How do I fix this?
Continuum is a suite of over 250 plugins. Your license for VEGAS Pro 18 Suite entitles you to license a small portion of our plugins. Upon installation, you are given the option to either “show all plugins” or “show licensed plugins”. Choose “show all plugins” to see everything has to offer, but be aware all unlicensed plugins will feature a watermark. If you choose to “show licensed plugins only”, only the plugins you have licensed will be shown in VEGAS.

Q. I had some older Boris plugins that disappeared. What happened?
Only one version of Boris FX plugins can be installed for VEGAS at any one time. So, if you have VEGAS Pro 17 with legacy Continuum plugins, these will be replaced with the newer versions that ship with VEGAS Pro 18. We strongly suggest if you wish to keep older Boris FX plugins, then you do not install these current products as they will overwrite any older plugins.
Q. I love the Boris FX plugins for VEGAS Pro 18! Can I upgrade to the full suite?
Yes! VEGAS Pro 18 owners can upgrade to the full suite of at the discounted price of $395.00. Please contact sales for more information.
Q. Can I have a trial of Continuum for VEGAS Pro 18?
Yes, we do offer a free 30 day watermarked trial of Continuum for VEGAS Pro. We do not offer watermark-free trials of Continuum.
Q. Can I use older plugins inside of VEGAS Pro 18?
At this time, we only support Continuum 2020.5 for VEGAS Pro 18. Customers who have upgraded to VEGAS Pro 18 and have older licenses of Boris Continuum plugins should contact sales or more information on upgrading to Continuum 2019.5.
